Kurejka

The Kurejka (also translated as Kureyka) is a river in the northwestern Siberian Russia (Krasnojarsk Kraj), the right bank of the Enisej.

It is born from the Plitvice Putorana, Northwest section of the Central Siberian Plateau; first head south, bending first northwest and then taking a south-eastern direction, draining the southern slope of the Putorana Plateau. Deflection from right to Enisej, between Igarka and Turuchansk.

The river crosses a remote area so much that it does not encounter major urban centers on its way; is freezing, on average, from mid-October to late May. In the remaining months it is navigable for almost 200 km upstream of the mouth. Links externalize the wikitesto
