Sallander clockwise

Sallander clockwise

A Sallander or Sallander clock is a clock from the Overijsselse region of Salland. These clocks were made in the Netherlands in the 1970's in the 1970s, among others with the brand Warmink.

Sallander clocks are often rooted in carrot wood and, to a lesser extent, oak or beech wood. Like the Frisian seat bell, the sallander stands on a kind of chair, but also resembles the Zaanse clock. The sellers always have a moon stand. The weights are cylindrical and usually gold-colored. The pendulum is in the shape of a sun. Above the clock are often three ornaments.
