In France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Quebec, huissier de justice is a freelance practitioner exercising a public function, whose task is to produce judicial or extra-judicial acts, to notify court judgments and judgments. It is also his duty to authenticate the identity of the persons to whom he or she is responsible for the delivery of court documents and convictions, the collection of a friendly or forced claim.
