Ernst August Albert Otto Rupprecht Oskar Berthold Frederik-Ferdinand Christian-Ludwig Prince of Hanover, Great Britain and Ireland, Duke of Brunswick and Luneburg (Hanover, 26 february 1954) is the oudste zoon van Ernst August of Hanover (1914-1987 ) en Ortrud van Sleeswijk-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1925-1980).

As the oldest male descendant of George V of Hanover, he is the head of the Welfen branch of the Hanover House. In Germany, since the abolition of the nobility, the title became part of the surname so that he is officially Ernst August Prinz von Hannover. He is an official pretendent of the Hanoverian throne.
