Galmkamer

A bell chamber is a space for performing acoustic measurements. A broom room has only bare, as few as possible absorbent walls, floor and ceiling that stand in different angles to avoid simple standing waves. An ideal reverberant sound field exists in an ideal galaxy room, which means that the sound waves in all directions and at all positions are equally strong. Once caused noise in a bubble room will remain in place for as long as there is no space in the room that absorbs the noise.

A bubble room can be used to determine the sound absorption of a material. This is done by reverberation in the room with and without determining the material or an object. The absorption of the object reduces reverberation time.

Because the absorption depends on the frequency of the sound, these measurements should take place at different frequencies. It is customary to perform measurements in any octave or tire.

The counterpart of a rhyming room is a dead room.
