Arms of the Kuefstein family (1654)
Kuefstein is a high-ranking genus in Austria.
The family is from Lower Austria, but the name is derived from the Kufstein castle in Tyrol. In 1274 Hans Kuefsteiner, Mr. Spitz and Feinfeld were mentioned.
On February 2, 1602, the gentlemen were raised to Grillenstein and Spitz's freighter. Since June 25, 1624, they are hereditary wealthy treasurer in Lower Austria. On February 20, 1634, the exaltation proceeded to the count of the Holy Roman Empire. In 1683 the glory Hohenkrähen was bought. This glory belonged to the area of the National Revolution and was a loan from Austria. The possession of this glory, which was free of government, played a part in the aspiration to become a member of the Rijksdag. In 1737, the Count of Kufstein was admitted to the bank of the Swabian tombs in the Reichstag. After the sale of the glory Hohenkrähen in 1747 the graves were a personalist member of the Reichstag.
