Wiet Verschure


Louis "Weed" Johannus Cornelis Gerardus Verschure (Amsterdam, July 31, 1924 - Zutphen, February 2, 2009) was Zutphen's District Governor from 1970 to 1978 and held various other executive functions.

Political career

Verschure was from 1962 to 1983 councilor of the municipality of Zutphen, where he felt very involved. First for the KVP, in 1974 he was the list editor for the CCP and from 1978 onwards for the CDA.
