Zarma (also: Zerma, Dyerma, Dyarma, Dyabarma, Zabarma, Adzerma, Djerma and Zarbarma) is an ethnic group in West Africa that lives in Niger in particular. The language is the same name Zarma. They live mainly from agriculture.
In Niger, Zarma lives in the west of the country around the capital city of Niamey. In Burkina Faso they live across parts of the east of the country on the border with Niger. In Nigeria, they live in the furthest west of the country on the border with Niger. In Ghana and Benin they live in groups, especially in the north of both countries.
