Clothing code

The code of clothing, often referred to as the English equivalent dress code, is a set of written or, most of the time silent, rules relating to clothing.

All human societies have always adopted a code of clothing, which serves to give an indication of the social rank, the class to which an individual belongs, his profession (for example, white-shirts for doctors, or divided for the military), religion (the hijab for Muslim women, the tattoo for Catholic priests, etc.), its marital status (for example, bridal faith in Western societies) or its sexual orientation. In some cases they may also indicate the nationality of people, or their political affiliation.

By extension with the term dress code we also mean the specific indication of a specific clothing in certain situations. For example, on some occasions, such as ceremonies, weddings or special events, the dress code is specifically indicated in the invitation. Notemodify wikitesto
