Colin Monk


Colin Monk (Lewisham, September 29, 1967) is an English darter. He was active in the British Darts Organization from 1993 to 2004 and then transferred to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). With darts he does not earn enough and therefore he works as a contractor in daily life.

Monk's biggest win is the Winmau World Masters in 1996, where he beat Richie Burnett in the final. His best result at Lakeside was he in 1998 and 2002 when he finished the semifinal. Ever since he started playing the PDC's tournaments in 2004, he has never matched this result. At the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship, he was stranded in both 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Monk is supporter of Tottenham Hotspur football club. He is married and father of four children. His son Arron also plays darts.
