Erasmo Petringa


Erasmo Petringa (Airola, September 18, 1958) is a Italian musician, instrumentalist, arranger and orchestra conductor.

Graduated in the lower bass at the Conservatory of Naples "San Pietro a Majella", he went on to study the cello; He also plays guitar and piano, string instruments mostly linked to the tradition: Striking Guitar, Mandola, Mandolin and Calasion. He recently released a record titled "Sabir", where he uses the oud, an Arabic tradition instrument, with a Western and ethno-jazz style.

In 2008 he directed at the Sanremo Festival. He played with Peppe and Concetta Bar, Edoardo and Eugenio Bennato, Enzo Gragnaniello, Gigi D'Alessio, Claudio Baglioni. In the theater he has had collaborations including the one with Dario Fo in 2005 that gave birth to the "Scià Scià" published by Rai Trade, a performance in 1985 with Ray Charles in the blitz broadcast by Gianni Minà.
