The Latin word redde rationem, translated literally, means you realize it. It is from the Gospel according to Luke 16.2.
The evangelist tells of a rich man who had entrusted the management of his belongings to an administrator. When the rich man comes to the voices of a joyful asset management, he calls the administrator and asks him for his work, saying, "Redde rationem villicationis tuae: iam enim can not be rid of": I take account of your administration because you will no longer be able to administer.
