Gurwent of Rennes (ca. 830 - 877) was king of Brittany.
Gurwent was son of Erispoë who was killed by Salomon, who had taken over his title as a duke. Together with his cousin Pascweten, Erispoë's grandson, he killed Salomon in 874. Together they took power in Brittany but were later resigned by Alain (Pascwethen's brother) and Judah (son of Gurwent). >
The parents of Gurwent are not known. The name of his wife was possibly Mariamne, she was daughter of Erispoë and Marmohec, and had first been engaged to Louis de Stamelaar.
