Real Club de Golf El Prat

The Real Club of Golf El Prat is a Spanish golf club at Barcelona in Catalonia.

Opening in 1954

The club was founded in 1950, the job was created by Javier Arana. He included on hole 6, a par-3, only a few centimeters of water. Players who missed the green were thus tempted to pull their shoes off and play the ball out of the water. In 2001, the club moved.

In 1954 the job was opened. Many national and international tournaments were played on this track, including the Spanish Open in 1956, 1959, 1963, 1971, 1978, 1981, 1998 and 1999. In 1999, Sergio Garcia made his debut and finished with -9 in the 25th place. Relocation in 2001

Due to the expansion of Barcelona Airport, it was necessary to move the golf club in 2001. At the current location north of Barcelona at Terrassa, the private club has two 18 hole courses, the Noordbaan and the Zuidbaan, both with a par of 72. In addition, there has been a public school with a public 9 hole course. The entire golf complex was designed by Greg Norman. Also see Externe link 41° 34′ 12″ NB, 2° 3′ 13″ OL
