Annely Peebo


Annely Peebo (November 16, 1971) is a mezzosoprano from Estonia. She studied as accompaniment and followed lessons in song and opera song. She also studied at the University of Music and Drama in Vienna. There she started her vocal career in 1997. She became a permanent member of the Wiener Volksoper ensemble. She sang in the opera Rigoletto and performed many other operar rolls.

During the Wiener Festwochen 2001 Annely Peebo sang in the first performance of the opera Penthesilea. At the Salzburg Festival in 2002 Annely Peebo trained the audience on works by Mozart and George Gershwin. She also performed with Plácido Domingo, Renato Bruson and Stefania Bonfadelli.

Annely Peebo speaks five languages. This not only resulted in a leading role in the French musical Les leçons de ténèbres but also in the presentation of the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest. External kink
