China Islamic Association

The China Islamic Association is an Islamic association in the People's Republic of China. It was founded in April 2001 by the Chinese government. The purpose of the association is to spread the Quran and fight against religious extremism. The association is led by sixteen Islamic clerics.

They make speeches for imams in China. These are leaders and the government thus prevents imams from invading opposing interests of the state.

Muslims in China have certain privileges. For example, areas where the majority of Muslims do not breed pigs may Muslims marry an imam, allow Muslims to get free on Islamic holidays and Muslims on Islamic pilgrimage, Hajj, go to Mecca.
