David James Kennedy (July 8, 1976) is an American guitarist and songwriter. He plays in the alternative rock band Angels & amp; Airwaves. Together with Tom DeLonge, "Atom" Willard and Ryan Sinn (who was replaced in 2007 by former 30-second-bass bassist Matt Wachter), he established the band in 2005.
He was also a band member of Box Car Racer, a side project of Tom DeLonge, together with Travis Barker (both of Blink-182). Box Car Racer released an album in 2002 and conducted a two month tour by the US. Then this project has stopped.
David and Tom DeLonge have been good friends since their youth, they grew up together in Poway, California.
