Jean Bernabé (Le Lorrain, 1942 - Fort-de-France, April 12, 2017) was a French writer and linguist in Martinique.
Professor of Regional Languages and Cultures at the University of Antilles-Guyane, created a group of research and studies in the Creole and Francophonie area at this university. An important Creole linguist, he participated in 1989 with Patrick Chamoiseau and Raphaël Confiant in writing the manifesto Prayer of Creolence.
