Angélica Rivera Hurtado (Mexico City, August 2, 1970) is a Mexican telenovela actress. and since 1st December 2012 Mexico's First Lady
Rivera started as a model at the age of 17 and had her first role in the telenovela Dulce Desafio two years later. Her breakthrough came in La dueña in 1995. Since then she has played main roles in among others Ángela, Sin Pecado Concebido, Mariana de la Noche and Destilando Amor. Rivera is one of the country's best-known actresses.
Rivera was married to director José Alberto Castro, with whom she received three children. On December 17, 2008, she announced that she would divorce and announced in January 2009 to marry Enrique Peña Nieto, Governor of Mexico. Eventually, they were married on November 27, 2010.
