Faustin-Archangel Touadera

Faustin-Archange Touadéra (Bangui, April 21, 1957) has been the president of the Central African Republic since March 30, 2016. He was prime minister of the country from 2008 to 2013. He belongs to no party.

He studied mathematics in France and Cameroon. After his studies, he became a professor at the University of Bangui. On January 22, 2008, President François Bozizé Touadéra appointed Prime Minister. He followed Élie Doté. In January 2013, he was fired by the president from this post.

Touadéra arrived on February 14, 2016 as winner of the second round of presidential elections. On March 30, 2016, he was installed as president as interim successor Catherine Samba-Panza.
