Kyzyl-Tajga


The Kyzyl-Tajga (Russian: Кызыл-Тайга) is the highest mountain peak of Western Sajan at 3121 meters. The mountain peak is located in an inhospitable area in the far west of the Russian autonomous Republic of Toeva, south of the main chain. Around the mountain are the sources of the river Ak-Soeg. The mountain is the easternmost point of the same mountain massif and consists of a complex of metamorphic sandstone, silvery and aggregates. The mountain is covered with tundra vegetation, consisting of mosses and lichens.
