Jalan Malioboro (Malioboro Street) is the largest and most famous shopping street in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. However, the name is also used to indicate the neighborhood in which the street is located. The street is north of the Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat
The street is located right in the tourist center of Yogyakarta. In the immediate vicinity there are many hotels and restaurants to be found. The sidewalks on both sides of the street are full of market stalls, which sell mostly items for the tourists. In the evening there is a lot of readhan, open air restaurant.
