Theo de Graaf (LPF)

Theo de Graaf (The Hague, September 10, 1942) is a Dutch optometrist and former politician on behalf of the List Pim Fortuyn.

The Count had his own company in spectacle stores. He sold his seven branches in 2000 to the chain Pearle. From 1980 to early 2002 he was a member of the VVD. After that he moved to the LPF for which he was in the Lower House between 23 May 2002 and 30 January 2003. As a member of the Chamber, he engaged in financial and economic affairs and public health.

His parliamentary membership came into question when Chamber President Frans Weisglas investigated the reports that De Graaf would have paid 25,000 guilders for a place on the candidate list. The Public Prosecutor decided to discontinue the matter after extensive investigation on 12 November 2002.

The Count is married and has two children.
