A.S. (Antoin) Scholten (7 September 1959) is a Dutch mayor and politician of the VVD.
Antoin Scholten had different political positions. In 1986 he became a councilor in Deventer. He became chairman of the group after his appointment. In 1991 he was appointed elder in Deventer. As an elder he had the portfolios of education, traffic and transport, the environment and spatial planning. He was Deventer's Deputy Mayor since 1999. At his farewell in 2001 he received the Deventer Stadspenning for his commitment to the restructuring of Deventer's secondary education. In December 2001 at his last council meeting in Deventer, he was appointed Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau. In January 2002 his appointment was taken to Mayor of Zwijndrecht.
On 5 September 2012, the Venlo City Council nominated him as Mayor of Venlo. On October 26, 2012, the Council of Ministers agreed with this nomination. The nomination took place on November 12, 2012.
