Eva Ahnert-Rohlfs


Eva Ahnert-Rohlfs (Coburg, August 11, 1912 - Sonneberg, March 9, 1954) was a German astronomer.

He made important comments on variable stars.

Eva Rohlfs studied at the universities of Würzburg, Munich and Kiel from 1931 to 1933. After nine years of returning to family life, she studied from 1942 at the end of World War II at the University of Göttingen. From 1945, he worked side by side with Professor Cuno Hoffmeister as astronomical assistant at the Sonneberg Observatory. In 1951, he received a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Jena. At the same Observatory Eva met her future husband, Paul Oswald Ahnert, and married in 1952. She died two years later at just 41 years.
