Georgina von Wilczek


Georgina Norberta Johanna Franziska Antonie Marie Raphaela von Wilczek (Graz, October 24, 1921 - Grabs, October 18, 1989) was Prince of Liechtenstein by her marriage to Francis Joseph II of Liechtenstein.

Georgina was single child and daughter of Count Ferdinand von Wilczek (1893-1977) and Countess Norbertine Kinsky von Wchinitz and Tettau (1888-1923), member of the grave branch of the genus Kinsky von Wchinitz und Tettau. She was born in Austrian Graz in 1921. Her great-grandfather was Count Johann Nepomuk von Wilczek (1837-1922), an Austrian pole investigator.

On 7 March 1943, she married the Liechtenstein King Francis Joseph II. During the Second World War, the Vorstin deployed for forced forced labor and prisoners of war and founded the Liechtenstein Red Cross on 22 June 1945, which was also the chairman until 1984.
