Giacomo Losi


Giacomo Losi (Soncino, September 10, 1935) is a former Italian football player who played his entire career as a defender at AS Roma.

Although he was not a born Roman, he became a real club icon during Roma's 15 years. That gave him the nickname Core de Roma, which means 'Heart of Rome'. Losi played a total of 450 games for the Roman superpower, a record that lasted 38 years. On January 31, 2007, Francesco Totti played his 451th match for the club. Losi won twice the Coppa Italia.

Losi has played 11 times for Italy's national team and played at the World Cup in Chile in 1962.
