Italian Film Export

Italian Film Export was a company set up in Rome on July 13, 1951 on the initiative of a group of Italian filmmakers led by Renato Gualino, president of Lux Film, with the aim of dubbing Italian films in English and treating their distribution overseas, and mainly in the US.

The company, which had its own dubbing studios in New York City in the Queens district, until 1954 produced and distributed films directed by Luigi Zampa, Carmine Gallone, Raffaello Matarazzo, Camillo Mastrocinque and Augusto Genina.

Vice President and Director of US Office of the Company was Mauro Zambuto, engineer and ambassador.
