Maria Teresa de Filippis (Naples, November 11, 1926 - Scanzorosciate, January 9, 2016) was an Italian car driver, the first female driver in Formula One.

In the early 1950s, De Filippis achieved good results in national car racing. In 1958, with her friend Luigi Musso, she joined four grand prizes with her Maserati 250F. Her first race, at Spa-Francorchamps, was immediately her most successful. She got her 10th place.

In 1959 she signed with the Behra-Porsche team of team leader Jean Behra. When Behra died after a race crash on the AVUS circuit in Berlin, the Philippi stopped racing.

The Philippis passed away in 2016 at the age of 89.
