Processiepark

A procession park is a park sometimes found at a church or pilgrimage place. It is an expression of the Catholic religion.

It is a park-like site in which there are a number of image groups, chapels, stages and the like. Often there are chapel sequences that refer to the 14 crossroads, the seven sorrows of Maria, the twenty mysteries of the rosary and the like, which can be transformed.

Pilgrimage goers can walk and meditate here and in general there is also an outdoor altar where outdoor moods or other religious activities can be held.

Sometimes, in such a park there is also a music tick. Furthermore, there is often a holy well or well on the site.

Procession parks, in addition to religious, often represent high cultural historical values, while in these parks, very beautifully grown trees are often found. Examples
