Thomas Franklin Deitz (January 17, 1952 - April 27, 2009) was an American novelist.
Deitz was from Georgia and studied medieval English at the university. He became the author of "Soulsmith Trilogy", with the Soulsmith, Dreambuilder and Wordwright sections. Furthermore, Deitz wrote a popular series with Windmaster's Lane, Fireshaper's Doom, Darkthunder's Way, Sunshaker's War, Stoneskin's Revenge and The Gryphon King. In 2007, Deitz won the "Phoenix" award for science fiction.
