Arnold Vogelaar


Arnoldus (Arnold) Vogelaar (Numansdorp, May 11, 1942 - Bruinisse, February 15, 2010) was a Dutch politician of the CDA.

At the age of 15, he went to work at Strijen's district secretary. In 1960, Vogelaar became deputy committees at the department of the municipality of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht and again four years later he made the move to Mijnsheerenland-Westmaas, where he first became the head of the department of finance and later the head of the department of general affairs became. After that he went to work with the municipality of Maasland, where he became a deputy secretary in 1973 as successor to Jacob van den Brink who became Mayor. In 1990, his appointment as Mayor of Bruinisse was what he would remain in that municipality on January 1, 1997 in the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland. A few weeks later, he became acting mayor of Rijnsburg, which functioned Vogelaar until May of that year when Arie van der Lee was appointed mayor.

In June 1999 he became Mayor of Hontenisse and in December of that year he became the mayor there. On January 1, 2003, Hontenisse joined the municipality of Hulst with which his position expired. After that, Vogelaar returned to Bruinisse where he died at the age of 67 at the beginning of 2010.
