Le defi de Cesar (translation The Caesar Challenge) is an attraction in Parc Asterix.
The attraction is a madhouse. The attraction was completed in 2008. The story behind the attraction is that Julius Caesar recruits the visitors to attack the Gallic village. After an unsuccessful attempt (preview), the visitor is shipped to be sent to the Gallic village. Through digital windows, the visitor sees the sea, causing the illusion that they are truly in a galley. Then the galley is overthrowed by Asterix and Obelix, turning the boat back and forth. The attraction type madhouse was developed together with Vekoma and the Efteling. From this collaboration, the madhouse Villa Volta resulted in the Efteling and the current madhouse technology as we know it today. Later the manufacturer Mack is also going to build madhouses.
