Carlo Borsari

Carlo Borsari (Bologna, October 21, 1913 - Bologna, October 12, 1997) was an Italian entrepreneur, known for rebuilding the Argentinian city of Ushuaia.

Bolognese entrepreneur left for Argentina where he won in 1948 the contract for the reconstruction of Ushuaia, a city that the government of Juan Perón wanted to save from abandoning after the criminal colony was closed. Borsari exploited the project to expand its economic activities beyond the ocean and involved many Italian emigrants by enlisting them with a contract established by the Argentine Government, with more economical economic treatment than workers in other areas of Argentina.
