Jan Hundling


Jan Cornelis (Jan) Hündling (Amsterdam, November 13, 1914 - March 3, 2003) was a Dutch actor. Although his name was officially written with an umlaut, he always used the spelling without.

Hundling went through the MULO in Haarlem. After the Second World War he debuted at the Cabaret The Red Lantern of Jan Lemaire Jr.. He played at major comrades like Dutch Volkstoneel, Puck and the Dutch Comedy, but was mostly known as actor on television. His best-known role is probably that of schoolmaster Bongaerts in a Shepherd's Diary. One of his last roles was that of Prince Claus in the Flodder television series. Television Film
