Koninginnebrug (Sneek)

The Koninginnebrug is a turning bridge in the town of Sneek.

The bridge consists of a rotating road and a doorway. The arms of the turntable are uneven. The bridge is rarely opened and is still manually operated. The bridge is part of the Elfstedentocht route.

The bridge bears the name Koninginnebrug as a reminder of Queen William Wilhelmina inauguration in 1898. The site of the current bridge, opened in 1985, already had a bridge with the same name from 1885. 53° 2′ 3″ NB, 5° 39′ 40″ OL
