Vincenzo Raciti Romeo


Vincenzo Raciti Romeo (Acireale, September 12, 1849 - Acireale, September 8, 1937) was an Italian historian.

Canon, Chapel of the Royal Chapel of Santa Venera in the Cathedral of Acireale, archivist of the cathedral of Acireale and associate librarian of the local zealous academy. He was a patriarch of history and devoted particular attention to the history of the city of Acireale.

Among his most renowned works, Acireale and surroundings, a monumental historical guide, published in 1897 and later re-edited, last in 1927 (third edition) by the Zealander and Dafnici academy.
