Xiao He Rui (1776 - January 1850) was the second empire of the emperor Jiaqing of China. biography
Empress Xiao He Rui belonged to the Mandarin Yuan Niuhuru tribe and was the daughter of Baron Gongala. Dame Niuhuru betrayed the forbidden city in Beijing during the reign of Emperor Qianlong. She became a concubine of the then Prince Yong Yan. In 1795, Emperor Qianlong finished in favor of his son, Yong Yan, who threw the throne as Emperor Jiaqing.
As the new Emperor's concubine, she received the title of honored gemalin. In 1797, Jiaqing died first emperor. In 1801, Lady Niuhuru was awarded the Empress. She gave birth to a daughter and two sons:
In 1820 Emperor Jiaqing died in Jehol. Because Emperor Jiaqing had not drawn up a will, Lady Niuhuru was requested to appoint a successor. She did not abuse the situation to appoint one of her own sons as successor. Instead, she named Mianning, son of Jiaqing's first empire, as a successor who took the government's title Daoguang. Dame Niuhuru died in the thirtieth year of the emperor Daoguang. She was buried in the Changling Mausoleum in Hebei.
