Bethlehem Chapel (Old Town)

De Bethlehemkapel

The Bethlehem Chapel (Czech: Betlémská Kaple) is a religious building from the Middle Ages in the Old Town of the Czech capital Prague. The chapel was opened in 1394 and from 1402 the famous Johannes Hus has been preached.

In the 18th century, the building became owned by the Jesuits and converted into an apartment. Under the Communist regime of Czechoslovakia, the building was returned to the state it had in the time of Hus. The majority of the outside of the chapel still has the medieval appearance.
