CBF Certificate

The CBF Certificate for Small Charities is the recognition of the Central Bureau Fundraising (CBF) for small fundraising institutions in the Netherlands.

Since 2009, the Central Bureau Fundraising has granted a CBF Certificate to small charities. The CBF understands a fund-raising institution whose value does not exceed 500,000 euros a year.

If a fund wishes to qualify for a CBF Certificate for Small Charities, it must have active fundraising in the Netherlands for at least three years and a number of criteria. The institution is tested for the management, policy and expenditure sections, fundraising and reporting. The CBF Certificate for Small Charities applies for a period of three years. In the meantime, checks will be performed.

In April 2011, the CBF had 69 Certified Holders. The CBF Certificate for Small Charities falls under the accreditation of the Accreditation Board and is included as a recognized brand mark on the Consumer and Market Authority Consumer Goods website.
