Gerrie Castle


Gerrit "Gerrie" Castle (Alkmaar, May 23, 1954) is a Dutch former cyclist and track cyclist rider. Despite having won several championships at the Dutch championships, he has never driven contract racing for amateurs. In 1979 he became a champion on the score.

Slot joined the 1976 Olympics in Montreal (Canada) on behalf of the Netherlands in the team's succession, together with Herman Ponsteen, Peter Nieuwenhuis and Gerrit Möhlmann. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals, so they shared their fifth place with Poland, Czechoslovakia and Italy. Castle lived with Maritzka van der Linden. Victories
