Hans Reiser (2006)
Hans Thomas Reiser (December 9, 1963) is an American computer programmer, owner of Namesys, and the ReiserFS developer and Reiser 4 file system.
On April 28, 2008, he was sentenced for the murder of his wife, Nina, who was missing since mid-2006. In order to prevent conviction for murder, Reiser agreed to a settlement with the prosecutor. On August 29, 2008, Reiser acknowledged blame for slaughter and had to designate the location of Nina's body. Reiser has been sentenced to life imprisonment with the probability of early release after a minimum of 15 years.
