Jan Boelen (Genk, 1967) is a Belgian product designer, and artistic director at Z33's art center in Hasselt
Boelen graduated as a product designer to the Media & amp; Design Academy (KHLim) in Genk (B). In 2002 he founded Z33. He is the director and curator of the exhibition projects on contemporary art and design, and initiated the Z-OUT project and Manifesta 9: Limburg.
At the moment he is Artistic Director at Z33 Arts Center in Hasselt (B) and Head of the Master Social Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL). He is also chairman of the Flemish Community Architecture and Design Committee.
