Jesse Pearson (actor)


Bobby Wayne Pearson (Seminole, Oklahoma), August 18, 1930 - Monroe (Louisiana), December 5, 1979), better known as Jesse Pearson, was an American singer, actor and director.

He gained the greatest fame with the movie Bye Bye Birdie, in which he played a hip teenage son called Conrad Birdie. A year later, he was featured in the movie Advance to the Rear. In addition, he played rolls in episodes of television series like The Great Adventure and The Beverly Hillbillies. He also acted as scriptwriter and director: he wrote and directed the movies Pro-Ball Cheerleader and The Legend of Lady Blue. In addition, he was the narrator of Rod McKuen's lp The Sea. He fell to recognize his southern accent.

Pearson died in 1979 at the age of 49 in cancer.
