Live at the Smell


Live at the Smell is a two-hour documentary about a dozen bands that perform in the underground club The Smell live performances in the fall of 2008. The film was released in 2009.

The film gives an overview of the LA noise rock scene that emerged after 2005 with performances of The Mae Shi, Foot Village, Ponytail, Abe Vigoda, High Places, Gowns, Barr, No Age, HEALTH, Captain Ahab.

The film was produced by Cold Hands Video, which also earlier made the documentary People Who Do Noise and received reviews in, among other things, Pitchfork, L.A. Times and Village Voice. Externe link
