Marie Götze


Marie Götze (2 November 1865 - 1922) was a German soprano. She was born as Marie Rigaud.

Marie Götze studied singing at the Sternsches Conservatory. The prime donna became known with the role of Magdalena in Der Evangelimann and the Berlin premiers of Salomé, in which she sang Herodias, and Klytämnestra, in which she sang the lead.
