Phytochemical Society of North America

The Phytochemical Society of North America (PSNA) is an association in North America that focuses on phytochemistry. Membership is open to anyone interested in phytochemistry and the role of plant constituents in related fields. Annually, meetings are held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In 1961, the organization was established as the Plant Phenolics Group of North America by a group interested in plant phenols. In 1966, the current name was adopted after it was decided to expand the organization's work area to whole phytochemistry.

The association is responsible for multiple publications, including Phytochemistry, a scientific journal for which the PSNA is responsible for the Phytochemical Society of Europe. Another publication is the series of monographs Recent Advances in Phytochemistry, which usually appears a part of each year Externe link
