Polder Stolwijk

Polder Stolwijk is a polder and former water board in the Krimpenerwaard, roughly situated between Achterbroek and Stolwijk.

Between 1805 and 1858, the polder Stolwijk was under the management of the Stolwijk trade. In 1952, the polder was extended with the Water Authority for General Pollution of the polders Stolwijk, Beijersche, Den Agterbroek, Kattendijksblok and Middelblok and Veerstalblok for the part Veerstalblok, or Waterschap Stolwijk, and with the polders that participated in this water board. In 1967 the polder was extended with the polder Berkenwoude.

The Stolwijkse Boezem south of Gouderak is the former drainage basin of the polder Stolwijk from where the excess water, originally by means of mills and later with the help of pumping stations, was discharged on the Hollandse IJssel. 51° 58′ NB, 4° 44′ OL
