Sonata for two pianos (Stravinsky)

Sonata for two pianos is a composition of Igor Stravinsky, which he composed in original for only one piano. With this sonate Stravinksy returns to his early period. There is more of classical music than in his works for ensemble from this time. In this sonate he rehearses the counterpoint and fugue techniques, which he previously claimed in his piano sonata. The classification as theme and variations also points to a somewhat more classical attitude than other works around this time.
