Jacques-Louis de Valon

Jacques-Louis de Valon, Marquis of Mimeure (Dijon, November 19, 1659 - Paris, March 3, 1719) was a French military and poet, member of the Académie française, where he occupied the number 3 seat, from 2 December 1707 to death.

Luigi Menin, the Great Dolphin, began his military career and became Lieutenant General. Louis XIV, in 1697, made Mimeure become married to him.

He wrote many verses that were never published. He was elected to the Académie française with the support of Francesco Luigi of Bourbon-Conti, Madame de Montespan and Nicolas Boileau. It is said that his speech of acceptance of the election was written by Antoine Houdar de la Motte. His only literary work that he has traced is a 1715 style in Horace's style.
